Your First Visit

After phoning or emailing to book an appointment (Dr. Laurenti accepts drop-ins, however booking an appointment ensures that you get the quality care you deserve as quickly as possible), you will be given a Health History Form which will ask several questions concerning not only your complaint, but your overall health concerns.  This form will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

Following completion of the Health History Form, the doctor will review the notes and then perform a spinal examination, which takes approximately 15 minutes.  If the doctor assesses that chiropractic care will assist in the correction of your condition, he will establish and discuss with you a treatment protocol.  If you need to be referred to another allied health care professional, Dr. Laurenti will recommend the appropriate person.

Adjustments may not necessarily be done on the first visit, as the doctor will assess what is in the best interest of the patient.  If x-rays are required, Dr. Laurenti will order them from the Espanola Regional Hospital and Health Centre or for Elliot Lake patients, the St. Joseph’s Hospital.  If you have recently had x-rays or reports of other testing, it is best to bring them with you to the office at the time of your appointment.

After the visit the Chiropractic Assistant, Irene, will then assist you in booking your next appointment and handling the financial and insurance details.
